About Cher

Cher is a venture-backed real estate and mortgage technology company building a next-generation Loan Origination System designed for modern real estate and mortgage professionals.

Since founding, Cher has: • Raised capital from institutional investors, fintech accelerators, and angels (founded in 2019) • Built and operated a licensed brokerage with real transaction volume • Assembled a full engineering team and technical leadership • Transitioned from services into proprietary platform development.

We are now focused on replacing outdated LOS workflows with a cleaner, more intuitive system that reflects how loans are actually originated today.

Founder & Leadership 

Cher was founded by Eric Chebil, a managing broker and operator with deep, hands-on experience in real estate and mortgage. This is a founder-led company with strong domain conviction and clear product direction.

We have a CTO in place and an active engineering team of 11.

Design is already embedded in the product. We are adding two more designers to increase speed, depth, and product clarity.

What You’ll Work On This is real product design, not surface-level UI.

You’ll work on: 

• End-to-end borrower and loan officer workflows • Data-heavy forms, document flows, and dashboards

• Internal tools used by real teams, not demos

• Design systems and reusable components

• UX improvements informed by real usage and feedback

The product already exists. Your work will ship.

How You’ll Work

• Partner directly with the CTO, engineers, and product leadership

• Build on existing design foundations and evolve them

• Make design decisions that balance usability, speed, and technical reality

• Iterate quickly and influence core product direction

Compensation 

This role is equity-heavy at the start, by design.

Cash compensation will transition once revenue supports it or following a fundraise.

We are optimizing for designers who want meaningful ownership and understand the upside of joining early while real infrastructure is already in place.
