Clutch Creative is a rapidly growing staffing agency. We support our clients by identifying unreachable talent that helps their businesses grow. Our candidates work with us because they know we have the best opportunities available to them and will help them navigate their next career move. We care, we're honest, and we hustle—that's what makes us Clutch.
Clutch is looking for an experienced Technical Trainer & Content Developer for a client of ours.
In this dual-impact role, you will be responsible for both the creation of sophisticated technical documentation and the delivery of high-level training programs. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering data and actionable learner knowledge, ensuring all materials—from manuals to 3D models—are accurate, up-to-date, and effectively communicated to onsite and classroom participants.
Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Design and facilitate comprehensive technical training sessions, both in-person and in classroom settings; develop all supporting manuals, exercises, and presentations.
- Information Synthesis: Gather and adapt complex source data, including 3D models, technical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical schematics.
- Content Authoring: Create structured technical content using industry-standard tools (InDesign, FrameMaker, Word) or XML-based authoring platforms.
- Illustration Management: Direct the development of technical graphics and illustrations, collaborating with internal designers and external vendors using tools like AutoCAD, Catia Composer, and Photoshop.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the review process, integrate client feedback, and manage final publication to CMS platforms while archiving all source documentation.
- Performance Reporting: Track and communicate project timelines and quality KPIs to leadership.
- Client Engagement: Travel to client and supplier sites across the U.S. for training delivery, workshops, and progress meetings.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in technical training.
- Technical Literacy: * Strong background in electrical or mechanical fields.
- Intermediate proficiency in interpreting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic schematics.
- Software Skills: * Experience with XML-based Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Working knowledge of 2D graphic suites (Illustrator, Photoshop) for reworking technical visuals.
- Communication: Ability to translate highly technical specifications into structured, digestible learning material.
