Software and equipment: Revit licence, Graphcad templates and standards provided. You supply your own computer, internet and workspace. Contractors with their own Revit licence are also welcome.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Revit Documenter to join our team. The role suits someone with several years of hands-on Revit documentation experience who can take a project from survey and base build information through to construction issue with minimal supervision. You will document retail and commercial fitouts across Australia, working to landlord design criteria, the National Construction Code and client brand standards. This is an ABN contract role paid at an hourly rate, with ongoing work across multiple projects. It is open to candidates anywhere in Australia working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain Revit models and full documentation sets, from sketch design through to construction issue, including plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, details and schedules.
- Run documentation packages for retail and commercial fitouts with minimal supervision, including landlord submissions, tender and construction issues.
- Interpret landlord design criteria, shopfront guidelines, base build and survey information, and resolve them into compliant documentation.
- Apply NCC/BCA and relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1428.1 accessibility, in your documentation.
- Revise models and drawings in response to design changes, client comments, landlord feedback and RFIs.
- Create and manage Revit families, templates and project standards, and maintain consistency with Graphcad protocols.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, building surveyors, builders and the wider Graphcad team.
- Support and mentor junior documenters, including checking and marking up drawings.
- Organise project files and meet programme deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Building Design, Drafting or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience documenting projects in Autodesk Revit in an Australian practice.
- Strong Revit proficiency, including family creation, view templates, worksets and sheet set-up.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software.
- Sound working knowledge of the NCC/BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to produce a complete, well-coordinated construction documentation set.
- Strong attention to detail, and the ability to self-check work before issue.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the confidence to work directly with consultants and clients.
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines while working remotely.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- A current ABN, and the ability to invoice for hours worked.
- Your own computer capable of running Revit, and a reliable internet connection.
Advantageous
- Experience in retail, commercial or shopping centre fitouts, including national rollout programmes.
- Experience with landlord design review processes at major shopping centres (for example, Scentre Group, Vicinity or Stockland).
- Experience with Revit template and standards development.
- Current driver's licence, for occasional site visits.
