Job TitleSolutions Architect (Remote, Security Cleared) - Atos UK & IrelandRole Summary As a Solutions Architect within Atos UK&I, you will play a pivotal role in crafting secure, resilient, and commercially viable architectural solutions that leverage the full breadth of Atos’s cloud, infrastructure, and data services. You will support complex bids, tenders, and formal procurement processes, ensuring Atos’s capabilities—including sovereign cloud, hybrid infrastructure, managed cloud, data platforms, and digital workplace services—are articulated as differentiated, compliant, and future‑ready solutions for UK & Ireland customers. This position is fully remote and requires the candidate to hold or be eligible for an appropriate UK Security Clearance (e.g., SC, DV, or equivalent) due to the sensitive nature of some preferred contracts with public sector and critical national infrastructure clients. You will also contribute to the evolution of Atos’s offerings by feeding architectural insights and customer feedback into service development and innovation planning. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd‑to‑End Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead design of comprehensive solutions that integrate Atos UK&I offerings across:

• Sovereign, public, private, and hybrid cloud services
• Modern infrastructure and data platforms
• Managed cloud and AWS/Azure/GCP implementations
• Digital workplace, security, and network services

• Produce detailed architectural artefacts, including logical and physical diagrams, service blueprints, and non‑functional requirement mappings.
• Ensure solution designs align with Atos standards, compliance requirements (including sovereignty and data residency), and customer regulatory frameworks.

Complex Bid, RFP & Tender Support

• Serve as the lead technical author for complex bids, tenders, RFIs, and RFP responses.
• Map bid requirements to Atos UK&I’s service portfolio—including Sovereign Cloud, managed cloud offerings, infrastructure transformation services, and data/analytics platforms—to create compliant and compelling responses.
• Identify assumptions, architecture risks, security considerations, and deployment impacts to inform commercial and delivery strategies.
• Collaborate closely with bid management, commercial, and legal stakeholders to align technical response content with contractual and pricing conditions.

Service Integration & Product Feedback Loop

• Act as a conduit between client engagements and Atos UK&I product management by:

• Capturing architectural trends from bid and delivery feedback.
• Advising on potential enhancements to Atos service offerings and reference architectures.
• Participating in internal service‑line working groups to refine and evolve Atos capabilities.

• Provide insights that inform the development of new service offerings, particularly in areas such as cloud sovereignty, hybrid environments, data governance, and security practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

• Engage with clients and internal teams (delivery, operations, security, product) to clarify technical requirements and validate solution assumptions.
• Support architecture review boards and technical governance processes, ensuring design integrity and compliance with Atos architecture principles.

Technical Leadership & Enablement

• Provide mentorship to less experienced architects and engineering peers.
• Enable pre‑contract teams with architectural patterns, reusable components, and design best practices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Atos UK&I service lines, partner ecosystems, and industry trends.

Required QualificationsTechnical Expertise

• Deep experience with solution architecture across:

• Cloud (public, private, sovereign)
• Physical and hybrid infrastructure
• Data systems (storage, analytics, governance, pipelines)
• Network and security domains

• Demonstrable experience designing end‑to‑end solutions that leverage managed cloud, hybrid services, and digital workplace components.
• Hands‑on familiarity with security standards, compliance frameworks, and delivery constraints in the UK public sector and regulated industries.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 7+ years in solution architecture, technical strategy, or enterprise systems roles.
• Proven track record supporting complex bid/tender responses for large, enterprise or public sector customers.
• Experience engaging with cross‑functional teams in bid, delivery, and product planning contexts.

Security Clearance & Compliance

• Current Security Clearance (SC or DV) or eligible and willing to obtain.
• Experience delivering or designing solutions in environments requiring clearance and adherence to formal security and data protection standards.

Communication & Documentation

• Advanced technical writing skills with experience producing structured bid responses and architectural documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of briefing executives, technical stakeholders, and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, Google), data architecture, and infrastructure are desirable.
• Experience in UK public sector digital transformation and sovereign cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Atos UK&I frameworks, offerings, and delivery methodologies.
