Backend Developer

We are partnering with a pioneering technology consultancy that specialises in connecting talent with cutting-edge projects, offering expertise across diverse industries including digital transformation and AI solutions. They are currently seeking a skilled developer to help modernise an existing internal AI-driven data platform. The Role

• Analyse the existing Python-based application and rebuild/refactor it into a scalable and maintainable Node.js platform.
• Develop applications that pull data from multiple external sources including RSS feeds, websites, and APIs.
• Process and store data within a database.
• Build or integrate a front-end interface for displaying and interacting with the data.
• Ensure the rebuilt platform is secure, robust, and capable of passing penetration/security testing.

What You'll Need

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js.
• Experience refactoring or rewriting existing applications.
• Solid understanding of secure software engineering practices.
• Experience building applications that integrate with APIs, web scraping, and data feeds.
• Database design and integration experience.
• Front-end development capability (React/Vue/modern JS frameworks beneficial).
