About The Role We are seeking a talented Digital Content Designer to join our dynamic digital product team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing the content across our website and microsites, ensuring that our digital presence effectively supports our mission. Your expertise will help shape compelling, accessible, and user-focused web content that aligns with our strategic objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to produce engaging digital materials, applying insight-led design principles to optimize user experience and content performance. Reporting to the Digital Content Design Manager, you will oversee the entire content lifecycle—from planning and creation to governance and maintenance. Your work will ensure our digital platforms are accessible to all users, clear in messaging, and focused on providing meaningful support to those affected by breast cancer. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to reach and assist a diverse audience while reinforcing our commitment to excellence in digital communication. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital content creation with a focus on user experience and strategic alignment. You should have proven experience designing and editing content for various digital formats, including landing pages, case studies, and webforms. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) is essential, along with familiarity with analytics and user research tools such as GA4, Hotjar, and MOZ to inform content decisions. You should demonstrate a solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), plain English principles, and GDS content design standards. Exceptional editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills are required to craft compelling and clear content. Additionally, the ability to interpret data, conduct user research, and translate insights into impactful content is highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building stakeholder relationships and confidently advocating for user needs throughout the content development process. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and edit web content across the organization’s digital platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and user needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and translate them into engaging, accessible content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Utilize analytics tools such as GA4, Hotjar, and MOZ to monitor content performance and inform continuous improvement strategies.
- Maintain content governance standards, ensuring all digital content adheres to accessibility, branding, and legal requirements.
- Apply UX principles and plain English practices to enhance content clarity and usability.
- Support the content lifecycle management, including planning, creation, review, and updates.
- Edit and proofread personal stories, informational materials, and digital assets to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their content needs and advocate for best practices in digital communication.
