About Joystick Learning
Joystick Learning is a UK-based EdTech platform dedicated to making extracurricular education creative, inclusive, and accessible for children and teens aged 5–18. We’re building a vibrant online community of educators passionate about teaching real-world, skill-based learning.
We are currently inviting freelance art educators across various disciplines to create engaging pre-recorded and (soon) live classes. Whether you’re a fine artist, digital illustrator, animator, or graphic designer — there’s a space for your talent here.

Role Overview
As a freelance art educator, you’ll design and deliver short, engaging classes for young learners. You'll have full creative freedom to choose the content, style, and age range that suits you best. This role is perfect for creatives who want flexible, meaningful work.
You retain full copyright ownership of your video content. By uploading to Joystick Learning, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and sell your pre-recorded classes on our platform. However, while your content is live on Joystick Learning, you agree not to distribute or sell the same videos on any other platform. Videos are protected with watermarks and platform restrictions to discourage unauthorized use. You may request content removal at any time, after which your exclusivity obligation ends.
Responsibilities:
- Develop original and child-friendly lesson plans in your art specialty
- Record and submit high-quality pre-recorded video classes (30 - 45 minutes)
- Optionally conduct live classes (feature launching soon)
- Provide simple downloadable materials, if needed
- Inspire creativity and confidence in young learners
Who We're Looking For:
- Artists, designers, or creatives with a passion for education
- Prior experience working with or teaching children
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
- Open to educators globally – UK-based freelancers must provide a DBS; non-UK educators must show an equivalent background check
