This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Job Description The Mid-Weight Graphic Designer will be skilled in creating dynamic digital design assets, including web banners, eDM banners, and engaging social media posts. Experience in packaging design is essential, demonstrating an ability to blend creativity with practical application. Additionally, proficiency in preparing files for print is required, ensuring all designs meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design Creation:
- Create visually appealing designs, across both print and digital media, for Montu Brands’ marketing campaigns and various projects as required.
- Create printed communications including catalogues, brochures, flyers, leave-behinds and other printed promotional materials.
- Create digital assets for email marketing, social assets, icons, illustrations, presentations, website imagery, and more.
- Create and update packaging designs for our product range.
- Work with NPD to develop new brands including logos, typography, colour palette and packaging designs.
- Manage and lead the creative process for Montu Brands including briefing process, meeting timelines, project management system (asana)
- Ensure that designs are consistent with the company's brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive look and feel across all materials.
- Articulate design concepts effectively in presentations to internal teams and clients, explaining the rationale behind design decisions.
- Address design challenges with creativity and resourcefulness, finding innovative solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as NPD, Product/Tech, leadership team to understand their design needs and deliver effective solutions.
Project Management
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, organising tasks, setting timelines, booking creative presentation meetings and proactively communicating progress to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
Quality Assurance And Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all designs are created with a high level of accuracy
- Create accurate designs with excellent attention to detail, actioning feedback provided promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure that all designs are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, industry advancements, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design techniques.
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Deliver on individual and set departmental OKR and KPI’s as determined from time to time.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with a strong portfolio including brand identity development, packaging design work and CRM.
- Strong graphic design skills, including expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Packaging and finished art design experience (preferred).
- Extensive background in graphic design, digital design and packaging design.
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and composition.
- Knowledge of design trends.
- A commitment to creative excellence, insights and ideas.
- Understanding of big picture and alignment with the business goals.
