Head of Computer Vision

About the Company

We’re partnering with a Venture Studio launching a stealth-stage startup that’s tackling one of the hardest unsolved problems in ConstructionTech: automatically converting 2D construction drawings into 3D structural components. This breakthrough technology has the potential to reshape how buildings are designed, engineered, and constructed.

As Employee #2, you’ll work directly with the founders to design and implement the computer vision foundation of the product. This is an opportunity to join early, make core technical decisions, and own an end-to-end system that solves a high-impact real-world challenge.

What You’ll Do

• Lead development of computer vision models to interpret 2D architectural and engineering drawings
• Build robust pipelines to convert visual data into structured 3D geometric representations
• Collaborate with product and founding teams to define technical roadmap and deliver proof-of-concept systems
• Deploy scalable ML systems in production environments, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and speed
• Evaluate emerging techniques in image classification, object detection, and generative modeling for application to this domain

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in Computer Vision (image classification, object detection, segmentation)
• Proficiency in Python and CV/ML libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions in dynamic, fast-moving environments
• Understanding of 3D geometry, CAD data, or architectural drawing interpretation is a plus
• Self-starter comfortable working in ambiguous, early-stage settings
