Technical / CAD Designer IV

Our client, a leader in heavy industrial and power industry sectors, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical / CAD Designer to join their innovative team. As a vital member of the Civil Structural Team, you will support the development and management of complex 3D models and detailed drawings, contributing to high-stakes projects that require precision and expertise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for structural design, aligning successfully with the organization’s mission to deliver excellence in engineering solutions. **Job Title:**Technical / CAD Designer IV **Location:**North Carolina, NC (Remote work available) What's the Job?

• Prepare and check 3D Revit and Inventor structural models along with 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
• Create and verify definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, and inspection processes.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of structural disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policies and strategies effectively.
• Collaborate with BIM coordinators to manage and issue models using Autodesk Construction Cloud, ensuring configuration management compliance.
• Support Civil Structural Team in 3D modeling activities using Navisworks, Revit, and Inventor, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

What's Needed?

• An Associate’s degree in Structural Design or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 10 years of extensive work experience in structural drafting within heavy industrial, thermal power, or nuclear industries.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using Inventor and Revit software tools.
• Proven track record in drafting and modeling checking roles, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Ability to pass a nuclear security background check for access to sensitive project sites.
• Strong knowledge of structural drafting, design best practices, and interface considerations with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems.
