About the Role

The parent company of two of the most recognized brands in business publishing is hiring a Senior Editor to edit opinion and thought leadership articles produced by its membership communities. The company publishes two flagship titles: one focused on entrepreneurship and the American business landscape, the other a leading brand covering innovation in technology, leadership, and design. The membership communities span executive boards, impact councils, and leadership forums across both publications.

The senior editor will line edit and copy edit content written by community members, helping business executives who are not professional writers craft clear, jargon-free articles that appeal to a broad business audience. This role sits within the custom studio and works closely with community and consumer marketing teams. It is fully remote.

What the Role Covers

• Line editing and copy editing content written by members of the publications' executive and leadership communities
• Providing courteous, consistent, and constructive feedback on drafts, with specific advice on writing, organization, and tone
• Monitoring content for plagiarism, AI usage, violation of editorial guidelines, and repetition of content
• Operating within an existing workflow to ensure member content is published on schedule

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business journalism experience or equivalent
• Ability to edit drafts from business executives who are not professional journalists, working efficiently and with a quick turnaround
• Strong editorial judgment with flexibility to accommodate opinion, first-person, and thought leadership columns
• Strong collaboration and editorial management skills in a high-volume production environment
• Proficiency with word processing software; experience with Airtable is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available
