Michael Aram is a globally recognized luxury home décor brand known for exquisite handcrafted tableware, furniture, lighting, and home accessories inspired by nature and artisan craftsmanship. Our products are sold in prestigious retailers worldwide including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, and hundreds of specialty boutiques globally.

We are modernizing our product development process and seeking an experienced 3D Artist based in Spain who has proven expertise in luxury home décor, furniture, and lighting visualization.

The Role

We seek an experienced part _time 3D Artist based in Spain with proven expertise in luxury home décor, furniture, and lighting product modeling. This is not an entry-level position - we need someone who has already worked with luxury brands and understands the standards required for high-end product visualization.

You will work directly with our Director of Product Development (relocating to Barcelona in October 2026) and our international design team to translate design concepts into stunning 3D digital models, enabling rapid iteration and reducing reliance on costly physical prototyping.

Critical Requirements

Must have ALL of these:

• 4+ years professional experience creating 3D models for luxury home décor, furniture, or lighting products
• Proven experience working with luxury brands or high-end home décor companies
• Portfolio demonstrating photorealistic renders of tableware, decorative objects, furniture, lighting, or home accessories
• Expert proficiency in ZBrush and/or Rhino (strongly preferred) OR Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max
• Advanced rendering skills with KeyShot (preferred), V-Ray, Octane, or equivalent
• CAD software experience - understanding of production-ready file preparation
• Excellent English communication skills (all work conducted in English)
• Legal authorization to work in Spain

Key Responsibilities

• Create highly detailed, photorealistic 3D models of home décor, furniture, and lighting products from sketches, 2D drawings, or creative briefs
• Produce photorealistic renderings accurately representing materials (metals, glass, ceramics, textiles, wood), finishes, textures, and lighting
• Prepare production-ready 3D files and technical specifications for manufacturers
• Rapidly iterate on designs digitally based on feedback before physical sampling
• Create digital assets for e-commerce, marketing, and brand presentations
• Build comprehensive digital library of all product designs
• Generate 360° views and turntable animations for digital presentation
• Collaborate with international design team and leadership

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Expert in 3D modeling: ZBrush, Rhino (preferred), or Blender/Cinema 4D/3ds Max
• Advanced photorealistic rendering: KeyShot, V-Ray, Octane, or equivalent
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for home décor, furniture, and lighting
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and production constraints
• File preparation for 3D printing and CNC manufacturing

Portfolio Must Demonstrate:

• Professional luxury home décor, furniture, or lighting 3D renders (minimum 5-8 examples)
• Photorealistic quality suitable for e-commerce and marketing
• Organic forms and natural textures (botanical elements, dimensional surfaces)
• Range of materials: metals, ceramics, glass, wood, textiles, stone
• Various finishes: polished, brushed, matte, oxidized, textured
• Evidence of luxury brand work or premium product standards
• Natural, artisan aesthetic (NOT minimal geometric design)

Professional Experience:

• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience working remotely with international teams
• Professional portfolio showing production-quality work (not student projects)
• Understanding of luxury aesthetic and artisan-inspired design

Working Arrangements

• Part-time, remote position within Spain
• Fully remote - work from anywhere in Spain (Barcelona preferred for future in-person collaboration)
• Core hours: Spanish business hours with flexibility
• Collaboration: Regular video meetings with international team
• Software provided: ZBrush, Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Cloud licenses
• Reports to: Director of Product Development & Merchandising

Preferred Qualifications

• Based in Barcelona (Director relocating there October 2026)
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
• Experience with European luxury brands (Hermès Home, Baccarat, Christofle, Alessi, etc.)
• Knowledge of artisan/handcraft techniques (metalsmithing, ceramics, woodworking)
• Experience creating AR/VR-ready assets
• Previously worked as freelancer managing multiple brand clients
• Experience with Asian manufacturers (India, China)
• Understanding of lighting design principles
