Paid Search Strategist – Local & Franchise Marketing

(U.S.-based, Remote)

We’re looking for a strategic Paid Search leader who thrives on scaling multi-location and franchise campaigns. This is a chance to shape the paid media vision for clients across home services, retail, automotive, and e-commerce; where success depends on both big-picture strategy and local market precision.

The Role

  • Serve as the architect of paid search strategy for a portfolio of multi-location and franchise clients.
  • Translate business goals into scalable Google Ads strategies that perform at both the national brand and local franchise level.
  • Partner with account specialists to ensure flawless execution, while focusing your time on strategy, testing, and performance direction.
  • Design frameworks for budget allocation, territory management, and compliance across distributed campaigns.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in client conversations — leading strategy reviews, QBRs, and growth planning.
  • Bring innovation through automation, audience targeting, and cross-channel testing to maximize ROI.

What Success Looks Like

  • Campaigns structured to balance corporate priorities and franchisee goals.
  • Efficient budget use across locations, ensuring both scale and local relevance.
  • Confidently guiding clients with data-backed insights and clear recommendations.
  • Delivering measurable results in competitive local markets (lower CPLs, improved ROAS, increased qualified leads).
  • Setting the bar for multi-location paid search best practices within the agency.

The Package

  • Base Salary: ~$80K (flexible based on experience)
  • Bonus: Performance-based incentives tied to client growth
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision fully covered, 401K with match, PTO, parental leave
  • Remote-First: Fully remote U.S. team, with optional HQ visits + annual in-person gatherings

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years in Paid Search, with agency experience strongly preferred
  • Deep background in multi-location or franchise PPC (franchise groups, dealerships, retail networks, or distributed brands)
  • Advanced expertise in Google Ads (Search, PMax, Display, YouTube)
  • Skilled in budget allocation, geo-targeting, and territory optimization
  • Strong communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders or franchise owners
  • Comfortable guiding account teams, setting SOPs, and defining scalable strategies
