Company Description

PARIS MEDIA is an independent entertainment media company based in the UK. Our upcoming title, Outlaw's Vengeance, is a third-person action video game focused on stealth and parkour. We are a small indie team of ambitious individuals, and we are looking for a highly-driven team player who shares our values of innovation, grit, and creative problem-solving.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Video Game Animator, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on performance. You will be responsible for creating and refining gameplay animations for stealth and advanced parkour, and for working with motion-capture data. The role also involves collaborating with our Lead Programmer to implement and iterate on these animations.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive, proven experience creating high-quality gameplay animations for third-person action or stealth titles (realistic style).
  • Proficiency in keyframe animation within Maya, Blender, or equivalent software, with a strong understanding of body mechanics, weight, and timing.
  • Understanding of advanced locomotion systems, especially parkour, climbing, and stealth traversal mechanics.
  • Experience working with motion-capture data: cleaning, retargeting, and blending mocap clips for in-game use.
  • Basic understanding of rigging principles and how animation interacts with skeletal hierarchies.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field is a plus, but we care more about your portfolio and experience.

To Apply

  • Please send your résumé with a link to your portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates relevant third-person animation work, particularly highlighting combat, stealth, or movement cycles.
  • (Optional) Send a 1-2 video introducing yourself (voiceover allowed) and why you'd like to join our team to stand out. Send it to sophie@outlawsvengeance.com
