About The Role Level: 4 Department: Quilter Invest Location: Home Worker Contract type: Fixed term Contract- 12 months Quilter Invest is building a modern investment platform designed for real people, not just experts. Our goal is simple: make investing clear, accessible, and trustworthy for everyone. We sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and human behaviour, and we take design seriously as a core product capability, not a layer of polish. This role is for someone who wants ownership, responsibility, and impact. The Role We are looking for a hands-on Product Designer to take ownership of product design across the Quilter Invest platform. You will be the design authority for the product. That means shaping user experience, defining visual language, building and maintaining the design system, and working closely with product, engineering, and compliance to ship high quality, compliant financial experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Own end to end UI UX design across web and app platforms
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, intuitive user journeys
• Design and evolve a scalable design system used across the product
• Produce high fidelity UI designs in Figma ready for engineering handoff
• Define UX patterns for onboarding, investing flows, dashboards, and settings
• Work closely with engineers to ensure design quality is maintained in build
• Use research, testing, and data to validate design decisions
• Run and interpret usability testing using UserTesting.com
• Analyse behaviour using tools such as Clarity and Content square
• Collaborate with product managers using Jira to plan and prioritise work
• Ensure designs meet accessibility, usability, and financial compliance standards
• Continuously improve the product based on user feedback and performance data

RequirementsAbout You

• Advanced Figma expertise, including components, variants, auto layout, and libraries
• Proven experience building and maintaining design systems at scale
• Strong UI design skills with a clear eye for layout, hierarchy, typography, and interaction
• Solid UX fundamentals including user flows, wireframing, and usability principles
• Experience designing digital products in the fintech or financial services sector
• Experience working with regulated products or compliance driven environments
• Ability to work independently and own design decisions end to end
• Strong communication skills with designers, developers, and non design stakeholders
• Experience handing off designs to engineers and supporting implementation

Strongly Preferred

• Experience designing investment, banking, or wealth platforms
• Understanding of financial user behaviour and decision making
• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG
• Experience working in product led, agile teams
• Ability to challenge ideas constructively and back decisions with evidence
