About the Opportunity:

This organization is a multi-discipline consulting firm providing engineering and technical solutions nationwide. The GIS Analyst II role supports various service areas by managing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data to aid projects and initiatives. The position ensures data accuracy, maintains geospatial datasets, and delivers high-quality GIS products.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate collaboration and deliver GIS support across service areas

• Collect, manage, analyze, and visualize spatial data to support projects

• Design and automate GIS workflows using advanced programming

• Review and optimize GIS processes for efficiency and performance

• Create and maintain GIS maps and exhibits for applications and reports

• Perform quality control on all GIS deliverables

• Develop and manage project-specific GIS databases

• Research, compile, and validate spatial data from public and proprietary sources

• Create, edit, and convert spatial data to meet project requirements

• Conduct spatial data analysis using various tools, scripts, and software

• Assess project GIS needs and provide recommendations

• Assist with implementing relational database management systems

• Support development of web and mobile GIS applications

• Integrate AI-driven tools to automate data processing and enhance analysis

• Apply quality assurance practices and adhere to standard operating procedures

• Prepare technical documentation and metadata for GIS products

• Mentor and supervise GIS team members as needed

• Communicate technical information clearly to users of varying skill levels

• Follow safety rules, participate in pre-task planning, and report safety concerns

• Maintain high-quality standards across all projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, engineering, computer science, or related field plus 4 years’ related experience, or 8 years’ related experience without degree

• Experience with ArcGIS Desktop and extensions, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS mobile apps, MS Office, AutoCAD, 3D Design Software, FME, and open-source GIS applications

• Familiarity with relational databases and programming languages such as Python, C#, and JavaScript

• Preferred experience with AutoCAD and FME

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Compensation:

• The expected salary range is location-dependent and based on qualifications and experience
