Senior Product Manager-UX Designer (Cybersecurity Software)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional who bridges the worlds of User Experience (UX) Design and Product Management for our cybersecurity product suite. This individual will own the end-to-end user experience — from understanding the needs of security teams and SOC analysts to translating those insights into intuitive, impactful product experiences.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires both strategic product thinking and hands-on design leadership. You’ll work closely with engineers, researchers, and customers to define the next generation of security tools that are powerful, human-centered, and delightful to use.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Ownership
• Define and own the UX vision and roadmap for cybersecurity products.
• Translate customer needs, business goals, and security workflows into product requirements and design strategies.
• Prioritize features and design improvements using a data-driven and user-first approach.
• Collaborate with engineering and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, high-impact releases.
• User Experience Leadership
• Lead end-to-end design efforts — from user research and concept development to final visual design.
• Design and iterate on complex user interfaces for cybersecurity products (dashboards, incident workflows, policy management, threat visualizations, etc.).
• Conduct and synthesize user research, usability tests, and feedback sessions with security professionals.
• Establish and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with product, engineering, and security SMEs to balance usability, functionality, and compliance.
• Serve as the voice of the user — advocating for simplicity and clarity in complex security domains.
• Communicate product vision and design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5–10 years of experience in UI/UX design and/or product management, preferably in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or enterprise software.
• Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of cybersecurity users, workflows, and products (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, IAM, vulnerability management).
• Design Skills:
• Expert in UX principles, user research, interaction design, and visual design.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
• Product Skills:
• Experience in writing PRDs, defining MVPs, and driving agile product development.
• Proven track record of shipping complex, user-centered software products.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and leadership abilities.
• Empathy for end users (especially technical personas like analysts and engineers).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SOC teams, CISOs, or enterprise security platforms.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, OWASP).
• Background in usability testing and data visualization for technical users.
• Previous experience building or scaling a design system for a B2B product.
