A key recent update to our desktop platform includes enabling downloadable applications, allowing users to install and run the software locally for improved performance and offline accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using Electron and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance user interfaces to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Implement features that allow seamless downloadable installation and auto-update capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to implement new features.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability across platforms.
• Debug and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality application performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into development processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and shipping desktop applications using Electron.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to create engaging user interfaces.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience in building scalable applications.
• Familiarity with cross-platform development for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Experience with downloadable app packaging and auto-update mechanisms is a strong plus.
