Design Expert
Job Description
Posted on: February 17, 2026
About the role
We’re partnering with one of the world’s leading AI companies on a project that uses real-world, designer-built assets to improve the reasoning, accuracy, and safety of large language models.
We’re looking for senior design professionals who already have strong design files sitting in their archives -work created for past roles, clients, agencies, freelance projects, or personal exploration- and are open to putting that work to use again.
As a Design Expert, you’ll contribute high-quality design assets that reflect how experienced designers actually think about layout, hierarchy, systems, constraints, and visual problem-solving across real projects. We’re especially interested in work that captures how designers think: structure, hierarchy, constraints, systems, and decision-making, not just polished outcomes.
This is a remote, project-based opportunity, paid per approved asset, designed to fit alongside your current role. Global applicants are welcome.
What you'll do
- Share design files you’ve already built and personally own
- Make light touch-ups if needed to ensure clarity, structure, and completeness
- Contribute high quality assets (e.g., UI/UX flows, web and app designs, brand systems, editorial layouts, landing pages, design systems, icon sets, marketing collateral, service design artifacts, 3D models, spatial or environmental layouts).
- Provide work that reflects real design decision-making, not templates, stock assets, or tutorial follow-alongs
That’s it. We handle review, QA, anonymization, and data sanitization.
You are a good fit if you:
- Have 3+ years of professional experience in product design, visual/graphic design, UX/UI, brand design, editorial design, or a related discipline
- Have built production-quality design work for real clients, products, or brands
- Personally own the IP for the work you share
- Work primarily in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, Autodesk, or similar)
- Can contribute multiple assets during the project window
Accepted file formats
- We require editable source files so models can learn from real structure and design logic.
- Accepted formats include but are not limited to: .fig (Figma), .sketch, .xd, .psd, .ai, .indd, .afdesign, .svg, .dwg, .dxf, .skp.
- Exported assets (.pdf, .png) are welcome as supplements, but original editable files are required.
What to expect
- A short onboarding call to align on scope and contribution flow
- Contributor agreement signed before getting started
- Asset contribution using existing work (minor refinements welcome)
- Review and payment per approved asset, with compensation based on asset complexity and depth
How to apply
You can apply directly via LinkedIn if your profile or CV include a portfolio link.
Or, to stand out, send a short email to hello@technatives.co
with:
- A link to your LinkedIn profile
- Your portfolio or one design file from past work (Figma link or any accepted format)
We typically respond within 2–3 business days.
