2D Animator

This role is focused on creating an engaging and educational 2D animated safety demo video for an indoor entertainment venue in Gaborone, Botswana. The animator will bring a provided script and storyboard to life, ensuring the final product is visually appealing, playful, and suitable for a young audience. The video will serve as an introduction for children, guiding them through safety warm-up routines and best practices before they enjoy activities such as trampolines, ninja courses, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of timing, a flair for musical and playful animation, and the ability to translate safety instructions into clear, memorable visuals. Deliverables

• Animate a complete safety demo video based on the provided script and storyboard
• Incorporate playful, musical, and child-friendly elements throughout the animation
• Ensure all safety warm-up routines and instructions are clearly depicted
• Deliver a polished, high-quality video file suitable for in-venue display
• Collaborate with the client to implement feedback and revisions as needed
• Adhere to the visual style and energy described in the project brief

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D animation, ideally with a portfolio of work aimed at children or educational content
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or similar)
• Ability to interpret scripts and storyboards into engaging animated sequences
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, timing, and pacing for young audiences
• Creative approach to incorporating music and playful elements into animation
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
• Ability to deliver within agreed timelines
• Experience working with clients remotely is a plus
