Freelance Animator – 2D Music Video

This role is for a talented 2D animator to create a short, looping animation in the classic 1920s/30s Disney style for a music video. The project involves animating characters over real-life footage for an 8-second sequence, capturing the charm and expressiveness of early Disney animation. The work is fully remote and ideal for animators passionate about vintage animation aesthetics. This is a personal project for a debut music album, with the possibility of future collaborations if the outcome is successful. Deliverables

• Produce an 8-second 2D animation loop in the style of old Disney cartoons, seamlessly integrating with provided real-life footage.
• Develop expressive character animation that matches the music and visual references.
• Collaborate remotely, delivering digital files in the required format and resolution.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions as needed to achieve the desired artistic vision.
• Ensure all assets are original or properly licensed for use in a music video.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D animation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating classic animation styles, especially early Disney influences.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, or similar).
• Ability to match animation to music timing and integrate with live-action footage.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to capture vintage cartoon aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on a remote basis.
• Availability for prompt project turnaround and potential for future work on similar projects.
