Freelance Web Designer – Shopify Brand Identity

This role is ideal for a creative professional with a passion for both brand development and web design, particularly within the art, music, and pop culture sectors. You will be responsible for refining a gallery and art advisory business’s brand identity, developing comprehensive brand guidelines, and designing and building a Shopify website that captures a luxurious yet distinctive aesthetic. The project also involves managing a seamless domain transfer from Squarespace to Shopify, ensuring uninterrupted Gmail functionality. The successful candidate will help establish a compelling online presence that reflects the business’s unique collection and bespoke advisory services. Deliverables

• Refine and elevate the existing brand identity to reflect a luxurious, edgy, and distinctive gallery aesthetic.
• Develop detailed brand guidelines covering logo usage, color palette, typography, and visual style.
• Design and build a fully responsive Shopify website tailored to showcase fine art rock n roll photography and other pop culture subjects.
• Ensure seamless transfer of the domain from Squarespace to Shopify, maintaining uninterrupted domain-based Gmail services.
• Integrate e-commerce functionality and optimize the site for user experience and conversion.
• Collaborate closely to understand the business’s mission and translate it into a cohesive digital presence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in brand identity development and web design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.
• Expertise in Shopify website design and development, including e-commerce best practices.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar) and web design platforms.
• Experience with domain management, DNS settings, and email configuration (especially Google Workspace/Gmail).
• Strong understanding of luxury branding, visual storytelling, and user experience principles.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work within project timelines and communicate effectively throughout the process.
• Knowledge of the art, music, or pop culture sectors is highly desirable.
• Availability for potential follow-up work as the business grows.
