Support a charity supporting survivors of gender-based violence ❤️Jabalie is a UK charity working internationally with survivors and individuals that are at high risk of gender-based violence.

Many victims feel unable to leave their relationship and for those that do, many return to their abuser for a variety of reasons - for example, because they are financially dependent on them, or remain emotionally controlled by them. It takes an average of 7 times for a victim to leave an abusive relationship permanently.

Jabalie is a UK charity that aims to educate and empower survivors and individuals at high-risk of gender-based violence to promote their safety, autonomy and economic independence. We are developing an education and empowerment programme to help build survivors' knowledge, skills and confidence so they can build their lives outside the shelter and become financially independent.

The programme will have 5 areas: (1) Understanding GBV; (2) Skills Development; (3) Legal Rights; (4) Women's Health; and (5) Mental Health. We will also have a training of trainers programme, advocacy against GBV, and are building a community of survivors and GBV activists.Our pilot programme will be created in the UK and Kenya using a model that can be upscaled internationally.

Role (Volunteer): Brand Manager / Graphic Designer.

Role Description: Jabalie is a UK charity that aims to educate and empower survivors and individuals at high-risk of gender-based violence to promote their safety, autonomy and economic independence.

We are a small charity that is entirely volunteer-led. We are building our marketing and social media strategy to increase our brand visibility and create a consistent visual design for our brand.

We are currently looking for a Brand Manager / Graphic Designer who can support with Jabalie's re-branding and visual identity. We seek to create a visual brand that is professional and engaging for potential donors/ sponsors, whilst also being accessible and welcoming for potential beneficiaries of our work.

The main roles for the volunteer will be to:

• Learn about Jabalie's mission and come up with 2-3 branding proposals that reflect our mission, for the team to vote upon.
• Create a Branding Guide, taking into account different channels (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, website, strategy document).
• Working with our UI/UX volunteers, advise on how the branding style should be reflected on our website as it is developed.
• Help to create templates for social media and/or documents that have a consistent visual style.

The volunteer will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual brand of Jabalie.
