About Yoxall Landscape Architecture

Yoxall Landscape Architecture is a boutique residential design studio based in Western Australia, delivering refined, immersive landscapes across Perth and the South West.

We are a small, hands on studio working on considered, high end residential projects. Our landscapes are layered, textural and horticulturally rich. We care about how a garden feels, how it ages, how light moves through it and how people live within it.

Projects often include custom pools, sculptural hardscape elements, detailed planting design, wellness zones and integrated lighting. Every project is personal and carefully resolved.

We embrace technology, including AI assisted workflows and BIM based documentation in Vectorworks, but at our core we are about design thinking and a genuine love of landscape.

As the studio grows, we are looking for a Junior Landscape Architectural Draftsperson to join us and grow with the business long term.

The Role

This role will begin part time, 2 to 3 days per week, with the intention of transitioning into full time as the studio continues to expand.

You will work directly with the Principal across residential projects, assisting with 3D modelling, documentation and design development.

This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in Australia. We value communication, ownership and quality of work over rigid office hours.

If you are located outside Western Australia, there is the opportunity to work on projects local to your region as the studio expands nationally.

For the right person, there is a clear pathway to grow into a Lead Designer role over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with 2D documentation

• Supporting 3D modelling and BIM workflows in Vectorworks

• Developing landscape details, sections and set out drawings

• Assisting in planting layouts and design refinement

• Collaborating with architects and project teams

• Contributing to evolving AI integrated studio workflows

Who This Role Is For

This is a junior position and graduates are absolutely welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone early in their career or getting back into work who is eager to learn, take ownership and build something long term within a boutique studio.

You might be someone who:

• Has a genuine love for plants and landscape

• Is a green thumb or simply obsessed with great gardens

• Enjoys both creative thinking and technical drawing

• Has a foundational understanding of landscape construction and planting

• Is curious about emerging technology and how AI can support design

• Is excited by the idea of helping grow a small, design led studio

A qualification in Landscape Architecture, Drafting or Landscape Design is required. Experience with Vectorworks or similar software is beneficial, but mindset and willingness to grow are just as important.
