About Boba Tea Protein:

As we enter peak season, we are looking for someone to own the visuals of our Black Friday campaign. Boba Tea Protein is a fast-growing wellness brand that is innovating at the intersection of boba and fitness. Our mission is to help people become their best selves by offering healthier, protein-packed alternatives to your favorite boba and Asian-inspired drinks!

We’re a 10-person team with a wide range of experience—from seasoned industry veterans to those just beginning their careers. For this Black Friday season, we’re seeking a freelance Art Director to lead and execute the creative vision behind our most important campaign of the year.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $6,500-$9,000 per month until beginning of December.

Length of Contract:

Starting as soon as we find the right fit and contract will end December 5th.

Location:

This is a remote role with travel required for photoshoots and content creation. We anticipate at least 1 week in Dallas during the week of Black Friday photoshoot, but amount of travel can be subject to change as we conceptualize the Black Friday campaign.

Our 6,000 sq ft office is located in Carrollton, TX about 10 minutes south of K-Town and 20 minutes north of Dallas.

Overview:

As the Freelance Art Director, you will own the visuals and content strategy for our Black Friday campaign from start to finish. Your strength lies in branding, graphic design systems, and conceptual advertising campaigns.

You will conceptualize, design, and deliver creative assets across digital and social platforms, ensuring the campaign drives excitement, urgency, and brand alignment.

This is a hands-on freelance role, ideal for a highly conceptual and strategic creative who thrives in fast-paced environments and can translate ideas into polished, impactful content quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the visual direction and creative strategy for the Black Friday campaign, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Execute graphic design, campaign visuals, and social-first content (including short-form video, motion graphics, and photography direction).
  • Create cohesive campaign style guides to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure campaign assets meet both performance and aesthetic goals.
  • Assist with content production on set as needed (coordinating with models, hair/makeup, etc.).
  • Contribute to social content ideation, including TikTok concepts, and be comfortable both behind and occasionally in front of the camera.
  • Stay ahead of creative and cultural trends, bringing fresh ideas that resonate with our core audience.

Experience and Key Skills:

  • Well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, etc).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks that vary in complexity and urgency.
  • Highly organized, task-oriented, and a team player.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment that adapts to changing priorities.
  • Experience with a DSLR or Mirrorless camera (is a bonus, but not required).
  • Self-starter willing to work on team-based and independent projects.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • No degree required, but degrees in creative advertising, visual communication, graphic design, or other relevant degree is preferred.
