Job Description
Posted on: June 11, 2025
UI/UX DesignerLocation: Remote (Salt Lake County / Utah County-based preferred)
Type: Full-time
MoneyDolly is a revolutionary non-profit, school and team fundraising, communication and engagement platform with our game-like web and mobile applications. We have an incredible team and we’re growing fast — and now we’re looking for a lead UI/UX Designer to shape the future of our product experiences.
You'll be our first full-time in-house designer, responsible for both the visual and experience design of all new products, features and optimizing current ones based on data and user feedback. You’ll also help pioneer AI-integrated design-to-code workflows, working directly with Figma and emerging tools to streamline our build process.
What You’ll Do
- Own the entire UI/UX process — from concept to delivery — for new features and products.
- Continually optimize existing user experiences using data, research, and intuition.
- Design high-quality, responsive designs in Figma, from wireframes to pixel-perfect mockups.
- Leverage AI-powered Figma plugins and workflows to export and optimize HTML/CSS for developer use.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to align design with business goals.
- Establish and maintain our emerging design system to support consistent, scalable design across the app.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience (startup experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Mastery of Figma and its advanced capabilities (components, prototyping, design systems).
- Experience with AI-enhanced design workflows:
- Using AI tools inside Figma to accelerate design and asset export.
- Familiarity with tools/workflows for exporting HTML/CSS from Figma and optimizing it for dev handoff.
- Experience working in Cursor (or similar AI coding environments) to help guide design-to-code translation.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and front-end principles.
- A natural curiosity for how AI will continue to transform design and product development — you’re excited to be on the leading edge.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup where you will lead design independently.
Bonus Skills
- Experience designing for game-like apps or gamification in general.
- Experience designing for social networking-apps or communication in general.
- Experience working with data-driven optimization (A/B testing, analytics-driven UX improvements).
- Light front-end coding experience (HTML/CSS/JS) — not required but helpful.
Why MoneyDolly
- Be the design leader of a fast-growing company, in a fast growing industry within an innovative product suite with high user engagement.
- Work closely with a nimble, talented team building products that make a real-world impact.
- Enjoy a culture of extreme ownership, innovation, autonomy, and continual learning.
