Video Content Consultant (LinkedIn Focus)
About Us
We’re seeking to amplify our thought-leadership and brand presence on LinkedIn through high-quality, engaging video content. We’re bringing on a consultant who can own strategy, production, and coaching across our LinkedIn video program.
About the Role
As a Video Content Consultant, you will partner with our leadership teams to design, produce, optimize, and scale video content specifically for LinkedIn. You’ll bring both strategy and hands-on execution to the table. Your goal is to help us create compelling video stories that engage our LinkedIn audience, support our business objectives (e.g., thought-leadership, brand awareness, lead generation), and are efficient to produce and scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop a LinkedIn-specific video content strategy aligned with our brand, audience, and business goals.
- Identify relevant topic areas, content themes, formats (e.g., interview clips, founder commentary, case-studies, explainer videos) and schedule for production.
- Plan & script video pieces (short and mid-length) optimized for LinkedIn (timing, format, captions, thumbnails).
- Lead or assist in filming (in-person / remote), editing, post-production (including motion graphics, captions, brand treatment).
- Optimize videos for LinkedIn best practices (hook in first few seconds, captions for silent autoplay, aspect ratio, mobile-first, CTA).
- Manage a content calendar: plan production, approvals, publishing, repurposing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (leadership, subject matter experts, marketing team) to coach them on on-camera presence, messaging, and repurposing content.
- Track & analyze performance metrics (views, engagement, click-through, conversions) on LinkedIn and recommend improvements.
- Advise on repurposing video content across formats (e.g., LinkedIn Stories, LinkedIn articles, snippets, other social platforms) to maximize reach and ROI.
- Optionally: identify tools, workflow improvements, and best-practice processes to scale video production cost-effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience creating high-quality video content for LinkedIn or other B2B social-media platforms (especially LinkedIn).
- Strong skills in video production: scripting, shooting (or directing remote shoots), editing, motion graphics, captions.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn video best practices and analytics.
- Good storytelling and communication skills; ability to turn business/industry content into engaging video.
- Comfortable coaching subject matter experts and leadership to appear on-camera.
- Strong organizational skills: managing production schedules, stakeholders, deliverables, content pipelines.
- Experience working in a fractional/consultant capacity is a plus.
- Preferred: familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.), motion-graphics tools (After Effects, Canva, etc.), and LinkedIn analytics.
- Preferred: Portfolio or reel of previous LinkedIn/B2B video work.
