Company Description

Our Vintage Earth is an online booking platform & knowledge base for regenerative tourism. We create and curate experiences for the environmentally nostalgic, aiming to revive cultures and the natural environment. Our clients can book ethical ecotourism, gastro-tourism, agro-tourism, and arts and cultural excursions through our website. A portion of the commission from each booking goes towards local nonprofits. Through education, regenerative practices, and community-based activities, we are creating a tourism space that will benefit our planet.

Role Description

This is a remote, freelance contract position. We are looking for a Digital Magazine Designer for The Evening Earth Gazette, Our Vintage Earth’s literary publication celebrating stories of place, culture, and restoration. The Digital Magazine Designer will be responsible for creating the complete brand identity and editable magazine template (30+ pages), designing front and back covers, and establishing cohesive visual guidelines. This is a grant-funded project running December 2025 - March 2026, with a fixed budget of €600 (€150 deposit upon layout vision presentation, €450 upon final delivery). The designer will work closely with the founder to ensure the Gazette feels warm, nostalgic, literary, and intentional; distinct from but complementary to Our Vintage Earth’s existing brand.

Qualifications

• Skills in editorial design, digital magazine layout, and graphic design

• Experience in brand identity development and creating cohesive visual systems

• Proficiency with design software (Canva preferred; also open to Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or similar platforms)

• Strong typography and layout skills for long-form content

• Excellent attention to detail and creativity

• Strong communication skills and collaborative work style

• Experience designing literary magazines, journals, or editorial publications (portfolio required)

• Interest in sustainable travel, regenerative tourism, or environmental storytelling (bonus)
