About The Role We are seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer to join our Customer Acceleration team, specifically within the Knowledge, Online Support, and Communities division. This strategic, high-impact role focuses on transforming and enhancing the customer self-service experience across Okta and Auth0 products. The ideal candidate will possess a systems-thinking mindset and a proven track record of creating impactful designs that improve key business metrics such as case deflection and self-service success. Deep proficiency in UX research methods is essential to gather actionable insights that inform design decisions. Experience designing interfaces for Salesforce Service and Salesforce Experience Cloud is highly advantageous. The role involves ownership of the design for our Support Centers and Community platforms, delivering innovative, visually compelling, and highly effective user experiences that meet user needs and elevate the overall customer journey for technical practitioners. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, particularly with complex, strategic projects
- Expert proficiency with Figma and responsive design principles
- Experience contributing to and leveraging design systems for large-scale products
- Extensive background in designing self-service support portals and community platforms for technical users
- Strong understanding of metrics-driven design, including defining success metrics and iterative improvements
- Experience designing for AI-powered tools, generative AI interfaces, or intelligent agents (preferred)
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS for effective collaboration with development teams
- Deep empathy for technical users, with the ability to translate complex pain points into intuitive solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead UX research initiatives using mixed-methods to understand user pain points, needs, and behaviors, especially on high-traffic pages
- Develop and execute strategic design visions by identifying friction points and creating data-informed improvement strategies
- Design and refine high-fidelity wireframes, detailed user flows, and interactive prototypes for complex projects, balancing traditional knowledge bases with AI-driven solutions
- Ensure all design work maintains high fidelity, visual appeal, consistency, and adherence to brand standards and design systems
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Content teams to ensure design feasibility and fidelity
- Present and defend design solutions, articulating the rationale behind decisions and aligning them with business goals and customer outcomes
