It’s an exciting time to join us! As our Email Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimising the email marketing channel. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and analysis of email campaigns to effectively engage and nurture our customer audiences across the UK and International markets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including trade, marketing, content, design, loyalty and analytics, you’ll ensure seamless and impactful email communication that aligns with the wider email and CRM channel strategy. _Please note that this is a full-time, permanent role that is available remotely across the UK with occasional travel to our Head Office locations in Cornwall. If you are a Cornwall based candidate, in line with our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based at Head Office with a hybrid working approach._You’ll help us by:
- Utilising data driven insights to develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies to support overall business objectives, in line with the digital strategy.
- Creating customer segments and targeted communications to nurture the customer lifecycle, improve LTV, and support international growth.
- Planning, setting up, deploying, and coordinating email campaigns and relevant A/B testing, considering appropriate audience segmentation, content relevancy, accurate targeting, scheduling, and timings.
- Developing triggered journeys (automations) in collaboration with the Loyalty team to drive our Seasalt Rewards points programme.
- Monitoring email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and other key metrics.
- Producing regular reports and analysis (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to inform trade decisions, support product marketing strategy, and provide senior management with insights and recommendations for future strategy development.
- Aligning with onsite content to ensure Seasalt has a coherent email strategy that mirrors the onsite focuses.
- Performing ongoing research on digital trends and testing campaigns, initiatives, and formats across customer segments and markets to support campaign expansion, adaption, international growth, and store performance.
- Performing an annual audit on the email channel, systematically reviewing our tools, data, processes, campaigns and inefficiencies for continued success.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, internal teams, and 3rd party suppliers and agencies to support business objectives, trading performance, and ensure clear, accurate, and timely communication of the email plan.
- Staying informed about email marketing regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM act.
The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:
- Relevant experience or qualification, such as a Marketing or Business-related degree.
- Proven experience in email marketing, with a track record of successful campaign management and strategy, and confident use of ESPs or CDPs.
- Strong knowledge of audience segmentation, deliverability, personalisation, and email marketing best practices, with a keen eye on email design.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights, write reports, and use advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to think strategically and work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with a team player and collaborative mindset.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and deadline driven.
- Keen interest in online technology, SaS marketing tools, and a good understanding of brand values, guidelines, and tone of voice.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email template customization, and experience using Figma, Litmus, or similar marketing and design tools is a plus.
