Video Editor

About the Role

You must be passionate about creating compelling stories and enjoy editing videos. To be comfortable in this role, you should be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and capable of using Adobe After Effects when necessary, as you'll need to handle various tasks. You'll also need to be willing to learn Geolayer3 Map animations (an After Effects plugin).

Responsibilities

• This fully remote position requires a commitment to a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM Cyprus time.
• The ideal candidate will produce one to two 20 Minute videos per week.
• The work process is as follows: upon receiving the script, Assistant Editors begin gathering source material (photo, video, AI, etc.).
• They organize and place it into a Dropbox file structure.
• Subsequently, the Editors (YOU) commence their work.
• All animations, both 3D and 2D, are managed by a Generalist (animator), but keep in mind YOU have to know your way around it as well.
• Once the Editors are finished, they share their work with Senior Editors for comments, adjustments, and overall improvements.
• The Senior Editors then take over.
• After their work is complete, and approved by management, we proceed to Colour Grading & Sound Design, which occur simultaneously.
• Last round of management approval.
• Finally, the project is exported for its intended purpose.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Capable of using Adobe After Effects
• Willingness to learn Geolayer3 Map animations

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 3D and 2D animations
• Familiarity with Dropbox file structure
